This is such a scary but faboulous book!!! My favorite characters were Amy and Dan because they were Cahills and they were doing the best they can to save seven other Cahills who are being held hostage by the Vespers. Amy and Dan will have to steal the "Medusa" if they want to save their poor friends. But there are more tasks to do than that.

My favorite part was when they found the young trapeze artist dying. I liked that event because it was sad and made me want to know what happened next. I did not like the way the book ended because it did not tell what happened next and it didn't say what the task was. You'll have to read about that in the next book. The good news is, I will absolutely recommend this book! It is creepy and exciting and once I started it I could not stop and when I did, I kept thinking about it.

If you like mysteries, fantasy, science fiction, or creepy books, then this is for you!!!

I liked this book. This story is about seven people in the Cahill family / group who get kidnapped by the Vespers. Other people in the Cahill family have to do criminal tasks; if they don't, one of the seven hostages will be killed. One of the tasks is to rob the Medusa shield but it turns out to be fake. Will they find the real one?

My favorite character was Dan Cahill because he memorizes important things. For example, he memorized the shield of Medusa which ended up being a map. My favorite event was when Amy and Dan Cahill were in a bus that was intentionally hit by a cement mixer. There was a gas tanker in front of the bus - it slammed on its brakes so the bus had to slam on its brakes. The cement mixer behind it rammed into the bus. The cement mixer driver got out. the passenger and the driver of the gas tanker got out too. Amy kicked the gun out of one of the guy's hands. Next, Dan took the gas hose and squirted it on the guys. And then he asked if anyone had a match. The driver threw a disposable lighter to Dan. The three men ran off into the woods.

I liked the ending because it doesn't tell you about the main characters, Amy and Dan. It is about Vesper One. I would recommend this book.

The Medusa plot by Gordon Korman is a great book with lots of twists and thrills. In this book the Vesper group holds seven hostages from the Cahill family and demands the rest of the Cahill family to get the Medusa painting as a ransom to free them. They warn that if they do not comply then they will kill one of the seven hostages. But when they do get the Medusa painting, the Vesper One goes back on his promise and demands for more. This book ranges from funny to scary to deadly. Here is why I liked it...

The characters Dan, Amy, Ian, Hamilton, Joanah, Nellie, Ted.... are full of life. Dan Cahill with a photographic memory is my favorite character because he always has a plan on what to do when they are in a fix. I also liked Joanah, because he is so funny when he is bragging about is life style and how rich he is. But the characters were not half of the reason why I liked the book. So what is it?

It is the incidents. One of my favorite was the part where they crash into the rock and pretended they were dead it was so breath taking. What happened was they were getting chased by a man with a gun. Since they where on a boat they had to kind of dodge the bullets. Then Dan got an idea. It was to make the boat go up a rock that looked like a ramp because the other boat could not go up it. But the boat crashed and flipped. For a moment I thought they were dead. It was described in such a life like way that I could visualize it as if it was happening right in front of my eyes.

I loved the ending of the book because it was so full of suspense when the cab driver says they will never know that am the Vesper 1. I wanted to snap my fingers and get more pages in the book! Now I cannot wait to read the sequel to see what happens next

I would recommend this book to you because if you like Fiction, Non fiction, Fantasy, or Mystery, this a book for you! If you don’t read it you are missing out on a really good book.

Wow! I think the 39 Clues is a very interesting and a curious book and a little scary. Vesper One kidnapped all seven hostages. Amy and Dan had to do a criminal task. My favorite characters were Amy, Dan, and Sinead, because Dan is good at memorizing stuff like the ingredients for Gideon Cahill's serum, Amy likes to help people, and Sinead, well she is an Ekaterina and a brainy person. My favorite part was when Hamilton did a new slick trick, but then something terrible happened! In addition, another part was when they found out that Caravaggio's Medusa was a...well I can't tell you it...you have to read it to know what it was! Well I was very curious to know what the next task was and what Dan was going to do. Moreover, what happened to Nellie? Well the next book has all of that.
I would recommend this book to whoever knows a lot of vocabulary or wants to learn for more vocabulary, because this book has many words that even I didn't know! It is a very mysterious book.

I thought that this was a really good book! It had mystery, suspense and action, and it had a surprise twist in the ending. On a scale of one to ten, I would definitely rate it a seven. My favorite characters are Dan, Jonah, Ian, Phoenix, Alistar Fiske and Vesper One. I enjoyed these characters the most because they were all fun, exciting, clever and sometimes crazy in their own way.

My favorite part of the book was when they had the big boat fight trying to steal the real "Medusa." It was filled with action and you could feel their terror as they fought against the man with the big rifle.

I really liked how the book ended because the story didn't really end. There are still all of these unanswered questions that leave the reader wondering and wanting more. I am very excited and I can't wait for the next book to come out so I can get some answers and continue the adventure! I would definitely recommend this book to people who enjoy action, suspense and mystery.
