The book I am reading is FOODCHAINS.This story is about the energy you need to do anything, such as playing soccer. The energy comes from the food you eat.It is very cool! Some facts I learned from this book are that all the energy you get comes from the sun. Decomposers help break down dead plants and animals into nutrients. Some parts I liked in this story are when Maxaxiom went underwater. Also,I liked when he shrank down to the size of an ant. This book is really interesting. Why I think this book is really interesting is because it shows how you get energy, what is harmful to animals and how food chains work from the top to the bottom. The book even put "did you know facts?",facts about herbivores, omnivores, carnivores, and many more! I hope you read this book!!!

The book I am reading is about ecosystems.

This book is a very scientific book of its class, Graphic novels.
This book talked about how ecosystems work and grow, one important fact is that if you destory a cycle it's very hard to get back. I'd recommend this book to a friend who likes science because this is truly sientific.

Thank you for reading this blog a hope you read it!!

The book I read is Forces and Motion. Max Axiom takes us to an amusement park where he shows us all different forces of motion such as spinning, flying, jumping and falling. We learned about a baby in a stroller and how it needed a force to stop it. Newton's first law is about gravity.

Next we learned about motion and weight. For example, in juggling there was a man juggling with tennis balls and bowling balls. We learned that it's easier to juggle something that weighs less. Also, we learned about the different planets and how we weigh different amounts on each planet because of the mass. I weigh 50 pounds but on Venus I would weigh 44 pounds., Mars I would weigh 19 pounds, Jupiter I would weigh 118 pounds, and on Saturn I would weigh 46 pounds. Newton's second law is the amount of acceleration that a force can produce depends on the mass of the object.

Newton's third law tells us that every action involves a pair of forces. They showed us an example of when you are swimming we pull our arms through the water and the motion causes the water to push back while we move forward.

This book taught me alot about forces, motions, spinning, how things work, and going up and down on rides. It was interesting. I hope you read it.

The book I read is Food Chains. This book is about the energy that comes from the food chain and all the producers, primary consumers, secondary consumers, and tertiary consumers. It also talks about the top predator of the food chain. I have learned that underwater food chains are very similar to ones on land. Even in the deepest ocean, the sun is still the main source of energy. I have also learned that decomposers help break down dead plants and animals into nutrients. But there is no reason to fear decomposers. They are always in action right under our feet. Slugs, snails, and fungi are all decomposers. My favorite part of this book is when Max Axiom shrank down small, and got to see the foodchain of a hawk, mouse, grasshopper, and a plant. I really like this book because it has tons of cool awsome did you know facts!

There is a really cool did you know fact I want you to read!
So I would recommend this book to kids who like a thrilling journey through the world of science!

The book that I just read is called The Shocking World of Electricity with Max Axiom, Super Scientist. This book helps answer questions about how energy is turned into electricity and why it is important to conserve energy. It also tells us where energy comes from and how it powers our homes.

The first section of the book explores and explains atoms and the fact that many things around us have atoms and therefore electricity. The first example that we have all done is rub our socks on the floor against the carpet, which makes a shock. In this example Max teaches us about atoms, electrons, neutrons, protons and what a nucleus is. These are things that we experience everyday!

The second section of the book covers energy sources and Max Axiom describes the difference between renewable and nonrenewable energy. He also shows us that energy is found in many of the Earth's resources such as water, wind and coal, mined from underground. The second part of this section he takes us on a tour of a power plant that is run by coal.

The third section of this book is about Electricity on the Move, which shows how electricity gets to us in our homes and how quickly this happens.

The fourth section is titled Power at our Fingertips and demonstrates how we can easily use power in our daily lives from all of the sources that are explained in the first few chapters of this book.

This book taught me different reasons as to why electricity happens and how it works in my house. I like how Max Axiom broke down the scientific form of electricity so I could easily understand how electricity works. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in science. When you are looking for a good book, this is one to read!

The book I read was The Amazing World Of Electricity with Max Axiom. This book is about electricity how it is made and how it works. The unusual thing is this is a graphic novel with fictional characters and the story has lots of facts.

I learned that electricity is made using energy from many sources( like the sun, coal, wind and water). This story tells us how electricity, traveling at the speed of light reaches us and how we use it everyday. The problem about electricity is that making it can hurt the environment but in this book we learn how we can help make changes to help too.

This book is cool because I like how the graphic novel is mixed with fact. I would recommend this book to everyone that wants to learn about electricity. Even if you don't think you like graphic novels you should try this book!

I am blogging about the book ELECTRICITY.The book is mostly about where electricity comes from and travels to.It comes from energy.Water is packed with energy.Water is also a conducter of energy.Even coal has energy!

Some facts I learned are that energy resources are transformed into electricity at power plants. Also that electricity flows to every eletronic device on a looping path called a circuit.A circuit starts a power source. Those were some facts from this book!
What was my favorite part of this book was when he got a jetpack and flew up to his friend,Jim.I thought that it was weird when it showed a picture of him flying in mid air.Because you probably
don't see a person on a jetpack everyday.
You'll learn a lot from this book! Let me tell you an interesting fact.Do you know why birds don't get shocked when they go on a power line? It's because electricity is always looking for the closest path to the ground.Since the birds are not touching the ground, electricity coutinues.
This book is really good book. The book taught me very important safety facts.I recommend you to read this book if you interested. It talks about a lot of amazing things. I hope you read this book!!!!
It's very intresting! :)

I am blogging about the book Forces and Motion featuring Max Axiom. It teaches you about gravity, friction, inertia, weight, and mass.

Max Axiom takes us to an amazing amusement park filled with many forces and motions. He teaches you what gravity is, and how it keeps objects on the Earth. He talks about inertia, where when your body is at rest, it wants to stay at rest. But when your body is in motion, it wants to stay in motion. Take a roller coaster for example, when the ride starts, you feel like you are being pushed to the back of your seat. When the ride stops, the lap bar keeps you from flinging forward out of the car. That's why seat belts are important.
He teaches us how the more the mass of an object, the more gravity pushes down on it. That is why bowling balls are usually heavier than tennis balls, but in space they are weightless, because there is no gravity at all!
Read this thrilling graphic novel about the amazing world of science!
P.S. Science might not sound fun to you, but you have got to read this book!

The book I read is Electricity. This book is about where electricity comes from and how it is made. Electricity has energy in it. And water has tons of energy! Coal has energy too. Wow!

Some facts I learned are that electrical current is measured in amps. Also I learned that light travels at 186,000 miles per second, taking only 1.2 seconds to reach the moon from earth. That is fast!
What I really liked about this book is that it has tons of great 'did you know' facts! My favorite part is when Max rubbed his socks againts the carpet and when he touched the doorknob he got shocked. I really like that picture of the electricity! This book taught me how to save electricity, like not leaving the T.V on when your not using it.

I would recommend this book to kids who like a thrilling journey through the world of electricity and science! :)

I am blogging about a book called A Journey into ADAPTATION with Max Axiom.

The book is about adaptation and how animals and plants use adaptationtechniques to survive.

I liked the way the author organized his facts with photos and examples in different environments. First he discusses about why adaptation is necessary and used examples of bird beaks. He also talks about, why dinosaur are extinct as it could not adap to the sudden changes in the climate. Later he discusses physical adaptations with examples of rainforest plants and desert animals. And lastly he explains behavioral adaptations that animals and plants use to survive, for example the hog nose snake becomes a great actor when threatened.

I would recommend this to my friends as it teaches you facts of adaptation in fun and easy ways.

My favorite character was Max Axiom. He is a scientist who studies many different things, like adaptation in animals, plants and survival of the strongest around the world.

One of my favorite events was when Max goes to see a bird called Tawny Frogmouth and I was amazed how it blends in with any tree to protect herself from the predators. Also how an Artic hare changes color of his hair with the season to survive.

I did like the end as the author got me thinking to look around and find more plants and animals that use various adaptation techniques like camouflage to survive.

Thank you.

I read The Powerful World of Energy with Max Axiom, Super Scientist. The story was about how energy was made and what types of different types of energies exist. In the book, Max Axiom went to different places to teach people about energy like kinetic and potential energy. Energy is found in so many places...like the sun, plants, food, lightning, thunder, even coffee!! I learned about heat and sound energy. I also learned cool facts like that the sun gives off energy through the sunlight, and plants absorb the energy. Then, people and animals eat the plants to get energy into their bodies. I really liked that the book looked like a graphic novel but had a lot of awesome science facts!! I would recommend this book for anyone who is interested in science and likes graphic novels, too! It was a fun way to learn about energy!!!

I read Ecosystem from the Max Axiom Series.
The story is about how the ecosystem works and what humans can do to help save it. In the story the author writes about the food chain and gives examples how people can stop pollution.
I learned that all living things are called organisms. Also the food chain plays a big part in our ecosystem. For example, if one animal becomes extinct then there will be a break in the food chain and the food chain will continue to shrink until it’s gone.
I liked how the book was a graphic novel because I am a visual learner. I also liked how it gave many examples and how the novel had graphs because it really helped me understand what information the author was giving me.
I would recommend this book to a friend because it gave good information. The graphic novel also gave lots of examples of how you can save the ecosystem.

The book I read is ECOSYSTEMS.This story is about organisms around you, alive or not alive. This story is also about taking care of the environment plus the world.
Some important facts I learned are that the suns energy flows through ecosystems in one direction.Other elements are reused or recycled. Also that most organisms can't use sunlight for energy directly the way producers do.
What I really liked about this book is when Maxwell is petting a small, white bunny. The bunny was so cute! Another part of this book I liked is when he dived in the water. He was talking about FOODCHAINS.
At the end of each Max Axiom book series, there is more information about the topic. Here is one of them. The rain forests is one of the largest biomes on earth.Sadly, more than 1.5 acres (.6 hectare ) of rain forests are destroyed every second.
This is a cool book! It has a lot of interesting and fun facts! I'd recommend this book to anybody who wants to learn more about nature and the Earth. I hope you read this book!!!!!!!!

The book I read is Ecosystems. This book is about earth filled with both living and nonliving things. This book is also about organisms living around us.

Some facts I learned are that without decomposers and scavengers,
the world would be full of the remains of dead plants and animals. As nature's recyclers, decomposers are a necessary part of an ecosystem. Another fact is that plants make their own food from sunlight through a process called photosynthesis. Also plants use the sun's energy to change water and carbon dioxide into a simple sugar. What I really like about this book is that it has the definition of words that are tough for us and that it also has the
pronounciation if we don't know how to say it. My favorite part is at the beginning, when Max and his friend, Teresa are explaining about the earth and the animals when Teresa says, " Come up and get some climbing gear ", and one minute later Max says, " And not
when they're dangling from a cliff! Right, Teresa? " That part makes me laugh all the time!!!
I would recommend this book to kids who like a thrilling journey through the world of ecosystems and science! :)

The book I read is Earthquakes starring Max Axiom, Super Scientist
The book lets us explore the Earth and the tectonic plates that fit together like a jigsaw puzzle. But the edges are not lined up easily. So Max takes us to closer looks on Earthquakes. One of the US's deadliest earthquakes was the San Francisco earthquake in 1906. The fault line lies right next to the San Francisco bay.
I highly recommend this book!

The book I read is Earthquakes. This book is about the different faults and, how & where earthquakes happen.

Some facts I learned are that the crust is divided like a jigsaw puzzle into giant pieces called tectonic plates. But unlike puzzle pieces, tectonic plates don't always fit together. I also learned that the earth's plates are slowly moving underneath our feet. But we can't feel it. Another fact I learned is that plate movement makes some pretty amazing and powerful science. But when plates fracture, they can be dangerous. What I really like about this book is the illustration on the front cover of the background. My favorite part in this book is when Max gets lifted up in the breeze a little off the ground.
I would recommend this book to kids who like a thrilling journey through the world of earthquakes and science!

The book I am reading is EARTHQUAKES. It was about how earthquakes happen and where. Also that other event can cause earthquakes such as volcanic eruptions and if an underground mine collapsed, then an earthquake will likely occur.
Some facts I learned from this book are that nearly 90 percent earth earthquakes and volcanoes occur in one main region of the earth. Do you know that "The Ring of Fire" got its name because of the many earthquakes and volcanic eruptions? I learned that fact from this book.
My favorite part of this book is when Maxwell jumped up when an earthquake was happening. He looked so funny! I also liked it when his friend was building an earthquake safe building. But I'm still wondering how rubber and steel absorb the shocks.
You should read this book too. It is a very good book. I found some amazing facts which you may want to learn. If you are interested, get ready for a thrilling journey through the world of science!!!

The book I read is Forces and Motion. This book is about the forces that move objects, mass, and inertia.

Some facts I learned are that when we go on top of something that is high, and we are falling, gravity pulls us down. I also learned that a moving object needs a force to charge its direction, slow it down, or make it stop. And I learned a new force called centripetal.
What I really liked about this book is that when Max talks about something important, in the corner it gives a little short explanation.
My favorite part is when Max, his nephew and his friends were talking about the mass, suddenly someone called "time for cake"! And everyone raced to get cake, and then Max said,
" I don't think these kids will let a little friction stand between them
and chocolate cake"! I really like that part!
I would recommend this book to kids who like a thrilling journey through the world of science!

The book I read is Forces and Motion. In this book,Max explained that when we do something,it is called a motion. Also, he explained what force meant. For example, if a wagon rolled down a hill, then a force will be needed to stop the wagon.

Some facts I learned are that in space, there is no friction. So if you threw a ball, then it will keep on going and going and going. Also that inertia keeps things moving.Inertia would keep a stroller rolling until a force comes to stop it or friction stops it.
The part I liked best is when there were two boys in a stroller. They were riding it till his father stopped them.It always made me laugh! I also liked when Max's nephew had a birthday party at Skater's Paradise. There were two clowns. One was juggling tennis balls and another one was juggling bowling balls. The one juggling bowling balls said,"Juggling bowling balls is wearing me out!"But then the other clown said,"I don't know why he's tired.Juggling is easy!"Everybody was laughing!
This is a really cool book! You should read this book if you are interested in the thrilling world of science! Hope you read this amazing book!!!!!
